New users default to client (customers).
In order to access TDNext for purposes of working tickets or projects, they must be converted from client to Technician (or other licensed role) within TDX Admin / Users & Roles / Users.
In TD Admin:
- Select Users & Roles from the left-side menu
- Select Users
- Search for and select the user in question
- User pop-up window (we will save at several points, but don't close this user pop-up until we're done)
- Update Security Role to Technician (or other appropriate role, such as Maintenance Technician)

- Save the user profile
- Select applications, add access to the appropriate TDNext apps and include the appropriate role

- Wilks ITSM (role: technician)
- Time and Expenses
- My Work
- Wilks Brothers Self Service Portal (role: technician)
- Workspaces
- Wilks Maintenance:
- iPaaS
- Maintenance (ticketing application)
- Maintenance Portal (client portal app) (role: Client)
- My Work
- TDNext
- Time & Expenses
- Wilks Brothers Self Service Portal (role: Client)
- Save the user profile
- Select Functional Roles
- Select Add
- Select the appropriate roles (such as IT Contract Resource)
- Select Accts/Depts
- Search for and add appropriate Companies / Departments
- Select Groups
- Select Add
- In the Group selection pop-up, search for and select the appropriate groups
- consider un-checking the 'include in notifications' option
- Consider if the technician should be assigned a Desktop or Workspace.
