Flying A - Tubular Data System by Scan Systems (accessing application server - users)

Accessing Azure VM hosting Scan Systems iron inventory system via Remote Desktop Connection

Flying A's installation of TDS resides in an Azure virtual machine in an Azure subscription in the Flying A tenant. 

To access, a user must be setup as a local user on the VM
(in advance by an administrator - open a ticket with Wilks Brothers IT)

Instructions
Step Screen Capture

Launch application 'Remote Desktop Application'

For 'Computer' enter:

172.16.248.4

A Windows Security dialogue will present to sign in - select 'More Choices' Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
Select 'Use a different account' Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
 

For User name, enter:

.\firstname.lastname

- the '.\' indicates an account on the computer/server being logged into (also known as a local account)
- the password for a local account does not sync with the password for any other service or account - it must be stored and updated independently

Enter the password for your local account

Select 'Ok'

If authenticated successfully, you will be presented with remote session connected to the application server. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
